As I have not done a campaign at Muppets before, how do we go about arranging games? Are we on 'sides' as it were (quite a few orks I noticed)?

Just turn up. I'll pair players up on the night.

Random pairings would be cool

Quick question, do you have to retain your previous army for each step up in points ala escalation style or can you field a completely different list for each game?

Same codex, but can be a totally different list.

As to random pairings, aye, but if we are lucky enough to get a nice balance on the night, I might split you into order and disorder first.

That's because the imperial types are too scared of change and also the technology to post on the forum

Compared to the eldar whose culture has stagnated into decadence, and from a general previously in command of power armoured nuns?

Of course they are afraid. Must use anointed oil or it's wrong. Imagine the argument about web browsers in the Iron Hands chapter hq...

'Firefox is much better than IE8, we should change..' DACKADACKA! Fhwoom!

'Burn Heretic for your sins! The Omnisiah gave us ie8, all hail the omnisiah!'

And then, the old standby arguments, a quote from an imperial techpreist:

' NOOOO! I forgot chapter 33 of the litany of turning on. Must start again, but beforehand I must spend 24 hours in penance for my failings to the Omnisiah!'

Heaven help them should someone design a new type of switch! 'Heretic! The switch should be toggled!!!!'

Ah, the Eldar technology works fine though, and works without 72 weeks of prayer before squirting WD40 onto it, just their souls that are iffy. The nuns? Don't use them any more... silly superstitious bints ;) ...
I note you didn't mention my Tau or previous Eldar army. Both of which were happy with the insane amount of technology they used :D
