15 Panzer Regiment, 11th Panzer Division

Well after much pondering and having seen the plethora of allied armies I have decided to run with my German Panzer Division. The army will be based around the 15th Panzer Regiment, 11th Panzer Division.
600 Point Force - Utilising Grey Wolf BookHQPanzerkompanie HQ - 2 x Panzer IV H = 180 Points
Option: 1 x Sd Kfz9 (18t) recovery half-track = 5 Points
Combat PlatoonPanzer Platoon - 3 x Panzer IV H = 270 Points
Divisional Support PlatoonTracked Panzerspah Platoon - 3 x Panzer II Luchs = 145 Points
Total Points = 600

600 points is a tough number for tank lists. I get HQ and 1 Platoon... I'd love to fit in some Stuart recce in like you have the Luchs.

The reduction in cost for Panzer IV H's in Grey Wolf has helped immensley and I had toyed with both the 3rd and 5th SS lists also. Both of which also other good options. But was playing for the long game and larger points selections.
I also had noticed that ammendment to recce saves, will be good for my Schwere SS-Panzer Scout Platoon who come equipped with Schwimmwagen. However, I think the Luchs will make an excellent recce vehicle in its self, being a fast-tank!

Martin, if you are down this week(7th feb) is there any chance you could being down Grey Wolf so i cam have a good read of it. Or the next time your down. I'd like to see if it is a better book for my Grossdeutshland division.

11th Panzer Division is ready for its inaugural runout on Tuesday (will a little help from Paul!), looking forward to defending the honour of the Fatherland!

I really enjoyed last night's game. Felt pretty close at the end.
Like the way air worked.
I need to play faster. Moving at the double in turn one might have helped, as I wasn't under threat at that point (and moving everything once instead of three times) Would have allowed that assault a turn maybe.
