AVsREs and 3 self propelled Bofors are currently winging their way towards me. The idea being more defence for platoons sat on my objective. With the new 16" Air Observer rule the Bofors should put the wind up any AOPs that try to get close and the AVsREs should scare any tanks trying to assault :D

Provisional 600 point list:

Commando HQ + Piat Team 40 points
Commando Company (2 Sections) 390 points(What's nice with the commandos now is you decide what options to give the sections at deployment)
Limited Air Support (Typhoons) 170 points

So I need to buy a typhoon to complete this list but that's not an issue. The improved air support rules make this a much better option. Auto range in on the target if it isn't concealed? Yes Please!

As the new rules only require a single aircraft, I have two Typhoons spare. Make me an offer for one of them?

AOP will hopefully be calling in smoke or arty on those Bofors before they get to shoot.

Tanks will already be scared to assault by the new bail 2 rule.

Arty or smoke gets called before AA gets to fire though, which is after all other shooting but before aircraft.
Even so, my AOP won't be appearing til bigger games, if then. Arty has been crap for me up til now.

Never played night fight. What does that do?

£5?

It's not Sextons I have access to, it's Priests. Not such a good ROF but better firepower 2+ and each has a .50 cal AA gun so that's good

I think Commando's are going to be great with the new assault rules - much easier to take on small portions of the enemy where your better skills can show and you won't be swamped by hordes of Russians.

I would highly recommend picking up some 6pdrs at some point - they are a great defensive unit and very tough to kill when gone to ground with a 3+ save. Probably not much chop against Poi's churchills (will stop an assault most likely) but will cause PzrIVs lots of problems.
