The campaign will follow the rules set out in the Summer Special. I know Roger, Rab and myself have all purchased copies so there are those to peruse. I'd advise everyone else to purchase a copy too. It is available as a pdf and is available from Crooked Dice and also Wargames Vault. I prefer a good hard copy book and I suggest you all buy that too :D

Some things that are set in stone though (unless you can persuade me otherwise):

1. Starting casts should be 250 ratings (certainly at the start of the campaign, late joiners may start at a different level but i'll worry about that should the problem arise)

2. I've ummed and aahed on this for 2 months, but we shall be using the Realistic rules for injuries during the campaign. They are more brutal, but they are as brutal to everyone.

3. Extras and Archetypes from supplements (not alternative rulebooks, so No 7ombie or 7th voyage archetypes) are allowed. I'm happy to let people flick through the supplements I possess if they wish, or again, you can purchase them if need be. I'll post a list of archetypes and which book they are in so people can see what there is. The same applies to weapons.

4. All casts should be handed in prior to the campaign (or even better put on the forum for everyone to see). My cast shall be put online as soon as possible to show I'm not cheating! :lol:

5. Bonus production points will be awarded to fully painted casts, starting fluff and also for batreps written up and posted on the forum. I'll edit this when I've decided how to play this one with regards to painted casts, it will either be a lump sum as soon as a cast is painted, or extra PP every game that a fully painted cast is used. A batrep will be worth 5 production points per game. Starting fluff will give a PP bonus of 30.

I managed to pick up the Summer Special when it was free :mrgreen:

Two questions so far.
250 using our whole cast each episode, or a subset?
What is the air date for our pilot episodes?

Are there official rules for chainsaws and rocket launchers ( not bazookas ) in any of the supplements?

I only have the main rulebook and summer special.

250 ratings is the full cast, you can agree to play a smaller game with your opponent if you wish though.

Starting the second week of June

Not as far as I'm aware (Martin has my books at the moment) for a rocket launcher, the bazooka stats should be fine.. I'll think on the chainsaw

After a discussion with martin last night I'm just going to confirm with everybody that any production points generated before the first game can't be used until the first post game sequence.
Also, if you want to ask any questions please feel free to ask, no matter how daft you think they might be

Can I use kit from the B7 playtest pdf? If yes, how many ratings for a Federation pistol and carbine? (Liberator handguns already have points)

If not, I'll make them High calibre pistol and SMG for simplicity sake.

Can't you use alien pistol and rifle stats?

Sorry Rab, 250 to start. It shouldn't take long to get those extra 50 ratings though
