Richard's intermittent paint brush wavings

Postby pgarfunkle » Sun Mar 29, 2015 8:45 am

I've been wanting to start a log for a while (hopefully it will encourage me to keep painting a bit more often).

Over the last couple of weekends I have been working on my Imperial Assault figures so to start things off here are the Royal Guard

What's the significance of the base edge colours?

I'd guess for figure identification. Brilliant work Richard!

Just spotted the replies, cheers all.

Yep the edge colours are as speculated for squad identification. I think of Stormtroopers and the Royal Guard as faceless to the general public so didn't want any visible squad markings to tell them apart (sort of tempted to dig out that old UV pen I was given at uni to mark my stuff to give them invisible squad markings but that would require finding a UV light source too).

I haven't decided what to do with the Rebel or Scum squads to give them some individuality yet, I had intended to do some painting this weekend but didn't manage it.
