My gobbos are always ready to beat down the dwarven menace! Pesky dwarves thinking the mountains are theirs!
:). Also Mr Jenkins is another dwarven player if you wish to discuss beard lengths, how great the warhammer world was in your grandfather's day, how all elves break oaths or whatever else dwarfed chat about.

I have only been attending muppets for 3-4 months or so..but I can say they are a friendly lot and you can usually find someone who is up for a game if they have nothing else on.

Thanks for the tip and good to hear SMS are a friendly bunch. I watched the news clip on the website and it came across as a die hard 40K group :) Not that that would make them unfriendly ofc! All I could see was 40K was all :)

They are, they were and they always will be, Grobi filth! ;)

Aaah, tis true, back when I was a beardling yay-high to a cave squig, the models were better, everything was cheaper and the fluff was written with more depth and attention to detail... *grumble* And Elgi do indeed break oaths!!

What are OnG like at lower points levels btw? 500-800? Once my Dwarfs are painted I'll be considering a 2nd army to mix things up a bit. I'm concerned they may not scale down well and be that effective as a small force. Would welcome some feedback :)

There are a lot of 40k players...but dont worry its ok to point and laugh.

As for points levels most people tend to play 2000-2400 pts, although there is a small 200pt Warband campaign at the moment.

Sorry for a delayed response (only just read that bit!) O&G aren't too bad in smaller point games. Because they are cheap and cheerful you still can get an awful lot of models for a 500-800 point force. The dirt cheap chariots and artillery are also great (never underestimate the joys of a 50 point wolf chariot!) :D
I'm probably not the best tactical genius out there but even i've managed to scrape together some wins in smaller point games.

Tell me about it. Those chariots are evil in small games, where the charge is so much more important than in a larger game.
