Continued painting Russians ...

All are PSC models, An 82mm Mortar (with spotter), 76mm field gun and a Maxim.

Quick dirty paint job on them, but as the detail on some of the miniatures is so very, very soft it works. The only highlighting is on the faces (flesh followed by flesh,/bleached bone mix). Detail is picked out with a wash of Army Painter Strong tone ink. Quick, dirty but effective!. I've tried to hide the cheap paint job by putting extra tufts on the base ;D

34 minis now done this year... 1/3 of the way towards the 'won't buy any miniatures until I reach 100 total' and ahead of the 10 minis per month minimum target
(24 in January, 10 in February so far)

About a dozen. That gives me a good 1000 point force. Then i'll be considering Belgians. However the next biggish new project is going to be a spacecraft interior board. Currently in an email discussion with Andy at ainsty sort layout/parts/cost. I will then be able to play 7tv in a spaceship (good use for my astronauts and Blake's seven bits). Ongoing is ECW army and orcs and goblins, however I may look for some good not star trek minis... The matakashi ones are a bit odd

The start of my 7tv campaign cast. Here is Major Stuart Rightbridge (on left) and 4 D.I.G.I.T. rifle wielding troops:
Image

Behind them is my newly painted sentry post and gate. Comments and critique always welcome.

I'm undecided about the clear bases. SO much easier then mucking around with sand, plasticard etc etc and they don't move around with a bit of field stuck to thier feet so I'll probably stick with them for 7tv casts
